Warwick, RI – The Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) announced today that Sun Country Airlines has added a new non-stop international route to the Dominican Republic. The route will be seasonal from November through April beginning November 16. Initially flights will be available once a week on Saturdays, but will expand to twice a week (Wednesdays/Saturdays) starting December 25.

Warwick, RI – The Rhode Island Airport Corporation (RIAC) announced today that Sun Country Airlines has doubled their non-stop routes from two to four with the addition of service to Las Vegas and New Orleans. In January, Sun Country was announced as T.F. Green’s newest airline offering non-stop service to Nashville and Minneapolis/St. Paul. T.F. Green announced on Tuesday that Allegiant Airlines will begin offering nonstop service to Savannah, GA (Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport).
Flights will run twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. With this announcement, Allegiant now offers three destinations from T.F. Green, including Cincinnati and Punta Gorda/Ft. Myers. The Savannah route will begin on June 6th 2019.
“We are extremely pleased with Allegiant’s announcement that they are expanding operations here at T.F. Green. Rhode Islanders and regional travelers will now have an additional low fare option to Savannah. We hope Allegiant can continue to grow and be successful here and that Rhode Islanders will support these routes,” said Iftikhar Ahmad, president and CEO of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation.
