Scholaroo conducted a comprehensive report to identify the best cities in the United States to raise a family. The study ranked 151 cities in 7 categories – Safety, Health, Finance, Education, Recreation, Quality of Life, and Home Atmosphere – based on data from public sources.
As noted in the study, moving and raising a family can seem like an overwhelming task is you are going to choose a city. In Rhode Island a great many of us don’t choose, but stay right where we are raised – but we might switch from one city to another, particularly if it involves a good public school system or personal safety.
For those working from home, the world can be your oyster! But with so many cities to choose from, it can be hard to decide which one offers the right combination of safety, healthcare, and overall quality of life. How do you choose one?
The study uncovered rating on items that would measure a city as a great place for families. Key factors such as the cost of living and education in each city were reviewed, and eventually both the Top 10 and Bottom 10 were selected.
When reached for comment on the Scholaroo survey results naming Warwick as the #2 best city to raise a family (and tied for 32 on the safety measure), Mayor Frank Picozzi provided this statement: “I am not at all surprised Warwick made the top 10 list as one of the best cities to raise a family and is considered the safest city in the country! Warwick is a strong, tight knit community and we take pride in what Warwick has to offer. As far as being the safest city, that is because of Colonel Brad Connor’s leadership. All of our officers go to extraordinary means to be involved in our community, all while protecting us every day.”
Here is how Warwick ranked on a comparative summary of the Top 10 cities in the US:
